Dress warm and comfortable and settle into one of our traditional currachs as we paddle down the Boyne canal. This Boyne canal boat tour is suitable for all ages (over 4), with no previous experience necessary, making it the perfect family day out or excursion with friends. For 90-minutes, you’ll experience the tranquil Boyne canal, whilst being guided through the tales of mythology and Battle of Boyne landmarks.
Learn the same paddling techniques from Ross Kenny that the Iron Islanders used in Game of Thrones! Picture yourself heading off to Pike on a raid with Yara and Theon Greyjoy, to add that extra element of excitement to your Boyne canal boat tour. You’ll even hear some Game of Thrones insights along the way.
Safety and Information
This is very much a ‘dry’ water activity and no wetsuit is required to participate. However, as it is still a boat on the water we always expect the unexpected.
We comply with the Dept. of Marine Code of Practice for the safe operation of recreational craft. Life jackets are provided for all participants: Solid foam for younger paddlers and automatically inflated life jackets for those a little older in the flesh if not in the mind!
Strictly no alcohol to be consumed
Our experiences are off the beaten track in an amazing part of the Boyne Valley in Co. Meath just 40 mins from Dublin. The birthplace of Ireland’s Ancient East.
